Times Pavilion: A Dynamic Exhibition Space by Sangu Design

Revolutionizing Spatial Design through Human-Dependent Circulation

Times Pavilion, a unique exhibition space designed by Sangu Design Guangzhou Co. Ltd., breaks the mold of traditional static space design. The Pavilion offers a dynamic, human-dependent circulation, creating a unique, immersive experience for viewers.

The inspiration behind Times Pavilion stemmed from the desire to move away from static space designs. The designers at Sangu Design Guangzhou Co. Ltd. wanted to break free from restricted space forms and create a space that changes and evolves with human interaction. The result is a space that feels alive and responsive, offering viewers a unique, immersive experience.

What sets Times Pavilion apart from other designs is its innovative use of technology and space. Through the linkage of track, machinery, and program, the designers have created a moving wall that switches back and forth, activating the entire space. This innovative approach makes viewers feel as though they have entered a different space, providing a tangible sense of life and movement.

The Pavilion was realized using high-tech display modes, including giant LED display screens that can be folded flexibly. These screens, arranged from shallow to deep, showcase the development history of Times China. This approach not only reduces the waste of resources in physical presentation but also allows for real-time information updates, embodying the concept of green environmental protection.

One of the main challenges faced by the designers was creating a space that not only made functional arrangements but also placed viewers in space-time relations. The goal was to create an immersive narrative space that stimulated thought and returned to humanism. To achieve this, the designers had to weaken and hide the design, creating a unique panoramic experience.

Located in the Yue Xiu District of Guangdong, Times Pavilion covers a total area of 1200 square meters. It uses LED screens, atomized stainless steel, and polished slab stainless steel to create a sense of hierarchy and penetration of space. The space exudes a contemporary contracted breath, showcasing an uncommon design idea and creating a unique atmosphere. This innovative design earned the Times Pavilion a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021.
